Echo 5 Hotel was founded around a simple mission: to create a safer environment for families and professionals through responsible firearm education, comprehensive training, secure-storage awareness, and the promotion of responsible firearm ownership. Instructor John Haag brings decades of experience with firearms, instruction, and continued professional education to every student.
John’s experience began in childhood through hunting and family mentorship and continued into his nine years of service in the United States Marine Corps. During his military service, he earned multiple Expert qualifications with the M16 and was selected as his company’s Primary Marksmanship Instructor, where he discovered a lasting passion for teaching. Since leaving the Marine Corps, John has continued pursuing education and professional credentials while helping others develop safe, responsible, and effective firearms-handling habits.
